Obituary of Joyce Brookshire Sims

Joyce Ann Brookshire Sims, 88, widow of Beaufort Thompson Sims, went to be with the Lord, Friday, December 17, 2021. Mrs. Sims was born in Simpsonville to the late Walter Jiles Brookshire and Margaret Bagwell Holcombe. She was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church and enjoyed helping her sister garden at Backyard Birds & More garden center. Joyce worked in childcare and loved spoiling children. Surviving, are two sisters, Sandra Holcombe King and husband David and Rita Mullenix; a step-daughter, Betty Sue Fields and husband J.R.; a granddaughter, Natalie Fields; a special nephew and his wife, Ryan and Tabitha King; a special great nephew, Hunter King; a special niece, Taylor King; many other nieces and nephews and two fur baby’s, Brady and Spiller. She was predeceased by six brothers and seven sisters. The family will receive friends from 2-2:45pm Sunday at Reedy Fork Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 3pm.
