Teresa Ann Harrison Kilgore, was born to Richard B and Gennievive Dooley Harrison at McClellan AFB, CA on May 25, 1951. Before her first month was behind her, she started traveling the country as her parents moved her by train to her new home in Athens, GA. Teresa attended Athens High School. She grew up as a member of Central Baptist Church where she married her husband Bruce, on January 10, 1970. She joined the Eastern Star the summer of 1969. Teresa worked as a long-distance telephone operator in Athens and transferred to the Greensboro, NC office, where upon establishing their first home, the military called and over the years they moved a few times including: McCoy AFB FL, Bergstrom AFB TX, Hensley Field TX, Dobbins AFB GA, Randolph AFB TX, Kirtland AFB NM, and Lackland AFB TX. Mrs. Kilgore returned to school while living in Warner Robins and was so happy to start her career as a nurse. Her focus became caring for the elderly, and while living in Albuquerque, she founded and operated Care Givers in Touch to provide caregiving services. When her husband Bruce was transferred back to Texas she was happily employed as executive director of an assisted living facility. Mrs. Kilgore retired as a Hospice nurse in Simpsonville, SC after being diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis. Teresa is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bruce Kilgore; a son, Jefferson B Kilgore (Kathy); a daughter, Teri L. Kilgore of Simpsonville, SC; five grandchildren, Ashley N. Kilgore; Brandon A.
