Obituary of Gerry Brandon Smith

Gerry Brandon Smith, 81, widow of James “Smitty” Grady Smith, Sr., went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 1, 2022. Mrs. Smith was born in Simpsonville to the late Hardy Stroud Brandon and Evelyn Ball Brandon. She was a member of Standing Springs Baptist Church where she was very active and taught a women’s bible class in prior years. Gerry’s additional interest included natural health and politics. Surviving, are two daughters, Paula McMillion and Patricia Ewell and husband Scott Belue; a step-son, Jimmy Smith, Jr. and wife Joyce Ann and a step-daughter, Brenda Smith Barbrey and husband David. She was predeceased by a sister, Susan Dale Flemming. Funeral Services will be 1:30pm Friday at Standing Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one and a half hours prior to the service starting at 12pm. Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.
