Obituary of Kenton Douglas Cain, Sr.

Kenton Douglas “Kent” Cain, Sr., 74, husband of Deborah Ann “Debbie” Roemer Cain for 47 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Mr. Cain was born in Louisville, KY to the late Kelly Woodrow Cain and Frances Genevieve Craycroft Cain. He was an alumnus of Western Kentucky University and a member of Take Heart Church. Kent was an avid study of God’s scriptures; completely reading through the bible 37 times. He enjoyed gardening and carpentry. Kent was known for his vast collection of suspenders, which he wore on a regular basis.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Doug Cain, Brian Cain with wife Megan, and Daniel Cain with wife Katherine; a brother, Kelly Cain with wife Ruth; sixteen grandchildren, Josh Cain, Anthony Bristow, Alex Cain, Ethan Cain, Jack Cain, Abby Bristow, Sam Cain, Sabella Cain, Max Cain, George Cain, William Cain, Amber Bristow, Penny Cain, Henry James Cain, Betsy Cain and Charlie Cain; and a great-granddaughter, Ellie. He was predeceased by a grandson, Zach Bristow.
A Celebration of Kent’s Life, with military honors, will be 4 o’clock Friday, Jan. 7th at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
