Obituary of Douglas Franklin Burns

Douglas Franklin Burns, 68, husband of Michelle Denner Burns, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
Mr. Burns was born in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Frederick Noel Burns and Frieda Mae Tibble Burns. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrestling and western cinema. He collected racing memorabilia and was a NASCAR fan. Doug was the owner and operator of Burns Produce in Laurens for many years. His greatest joy was being PaPa to his grandkids.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five daughters, Linda Countryman and husband Lyle, Sally Burns, April Zittlow and husband Steven, Tara Burns, and Lori Vick and husband Sean; two brothers, and their wives, Bill and Lois Burns, and Rick and Nancy Burns; a sister, Martha Bartlett and husband James; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by two brothers, Chuck Burns and Donny Burns; and four sisters, Edna Martin, Mickey Vann, Frances Finley, and Tutti Stevenson.
Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 16th, at Redwood Memorial Gardens, with a reception to follow at Redwood Fire Hall.
