Obituary of Ann Eibs Hughes

Ann-Eibs Hughes, 82, of Fountain Inn, SC entered the Church Triumphant on January 6, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hughes. Miss Hughes was a 1961 graduate of Furman University. She worked for over 30 years as a social worker and an advocate for children with Department of Social Services. Her most cherished memories included spending time with her mother on the family farm in the Durbin community. She was an active member of her community where she served as a member of the Fountain Inn Music Club and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. Miss Hughes was a lifetime dedicated member of Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Catechism Teacher, and was Elder Emiratis. Her faith was important to her, and she was a special friend to many. Miss Hughes was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Fox Hughes. A Celebration of Ann-Eibs’ Life will be 3 o’clock Sunday at Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Whitney Moss. Burial in Cannon Byrd Memorial Park will be private.
