Ruby Pennington Wood, 99, widow of Troy D Wood, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
Mrs. Wood was born in Greenville County to the late Ray and Maude Cox Pennington. She was the oldest member of Clear Spring Baptist Church and served Meals on Wheels for 17 years.
Surviving, are a son, Troy Bruce Wood (Jody); a daughter, Carolyn Hamby (Richard); a sister, Beatrice Jackson; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Hamby; a great-grandson, Kelby Allen; four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Clear Spring Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
