Obituary of Maria Marta Sucic

Maria Marta Sucic, 88, wife of Tomo Sucic for 40 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday January 13, 2022. Mrs. Sucic was born in Colombia, South America to the late Anastacio Vargas and Ester Vargas Gutierrez. Maria enjoyed traveling and being social. She was also an active member of People’s Park Reformed Church where she served as a choir director, Sunday school teacher and treasurer. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Tricia DeBoer and husband Gregory; two brothers, Gilberto Vargas and Jose Vargas; a sister, Luisa Vargas; and a grandson, Isaiah DeBoer. Due to inclement weather the date for receiving friends has change to Saturday 12:30-2pm at Fletcher Funeral Service. A Celebration of Maria’s life will be 2:30pm Saturday in the mausoleum chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. William Castro.
