Obituary of Brenda Kay Davis Garbo

Brenda Kay Davis Garbo, 65, wife of Michael Allan “Mike” Garbo for 33 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2022. Mrs. Garbo was born in Valle Mines, MO to the late Noble John Davis and Alice Mae Gowen Davis. She traveled with Mike throughout his career. Brenda enjoyed cooking, baking, boating and “no-where cold” vacations. She loved animals and enjoyed a good trip to the casino. She also loved talking on the phone with loved ones. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Eric Freise and fiancé Lila James and her son Jeff; a daughter, Dr. Melissa Garbo; a brother, Bob Davis; and four sisters, Wanda Fox, Frieda Buchanan and husband Don, Mary LaChance, and Margaret Bruns and husband Robert. She was predeceased by two brothers, Glenn Davis and George Davis; and a sister, Maxine White. The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 1 o’clock Saturday (January 29th) at Fletcher Funeral Service. A Celebration of Brenda’s Life will follow starting around 1:45 pm. At 3 o’clock, friends and family can meet at Greenville Memorial Gardens for her final rest.
