Peggy Harrison Lawson, 80, widow of Buster Lawson, Jr., went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 4, 2022. Mrs. Lawson was born the youngest of thirteen children in Enoree to the late George Harrison and Margaret Woodward Harrison. She was a member of Enoree First Baptist Church. At the age of nine, she became the pianist at Enoree Free Will Baptist Church, where she played for many decades. Peggy was known as the Sugar Lady to many, and always had a fresh cup of coffee for family and visitors. Her loving and kind spirit made her a universal grandma to so many people. She was also a big fan of Willie Nelson and the Gaithers. Surviving are a son, Rodney Lawson and companion Stephanie Henry; a daughter, Jill Hennett and companion James Cain; three grandsons and their wives, Blake and Kayla Lawson, Garrett and Kasie Lawson, and Jake and Kati Hennett; and five great-grandchildren, Cheyenne McClellon, Natalie Lawson, Cameron Hennett, Easton Hennett and Noah Lawson. She was predeceased by seven brothers, Curt Harrison, Lester Harrison, Ernest Harrison, Boyce “Joe” Harrison, Harold Harrison, Jackie Harrison and C.G. Harrison; five sisters, Leona Williams, Gladys Johnson, Wilma “Till” Wilson, Dot Sulton and Erlene Nelson; and a great-granddaughter, Reagan Lawson. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Woodruff. Graveside services will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday at Greenhaven Memorial Park.
