Obituary of Charles Edward Winstead

Charles Edward “Charlie” Winstead, 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Mr. Winstead was born in Walhalla, SC to the late Ernest Winstead and Merle Fowler Winstead. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked many years at ParaChem. Charlie was the founder and operator of two businesses, C.W. Paint & Quarter Horse, and Shippers Express. He was a proud Papa of his grandkids and traveled often to support their rodeo lifestyle. Surviving are a son, Steve Winstead and wife Keri; a sister, LaFaye Littleton; four grandchildren, Kalan Winstead and fiancé James McAbee, Colby Winstead, Haley Moore and daughter Olivia; and Zach Moore with wife Danielle and son Sage. He was predeceased by two brothers, Wayne Winstead and Roger Winstead; and a sister, Carolyn Lee. A Celebration of Charlie’s Life will be 4 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
