Obituary of Richard Henry Crane

Richard Henry Crane, 69, husband of Teresa Elaine Haney Crane, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Mr. Crane was born in Ware Shoals to the late Clarence Crane and Gladys Davis Crane. He retired from Vulcan Materials. Richard loved the outdoors, camping, riding horses, hunting and fishing. His greatest joys came in being PaPa to his grandsons and taking trips with Teresa to Cherokee, NC. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Tony Crane with wife Gina, and Matthew Haney; a brother, Don Crane with wife Sybil; two grandsons, Justin Crane and Bryson Crane; a nephew, Jay Abercrombie with wife Kaye; a niece, Jessica MaHaffey and husband Jeremy; two great-nephews, Kolby Kellett and Jaxon Kellett; and a special friend and neighbor, Joey Kellett. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Crane and Ronnie Crane. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Owings Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Tim Saunders. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
