Obituary of Helen Glenn Morton

Helen Gertrude Glenn Morton, 93, widow of Clinton Morton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2022. Mrs. Morton was born in Greenville to the late Samuel Ralph Glenn and Sallie Margaret Wells Glenn. She retired from Enroe Shirt Company. She was a member of Selma Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving on the hospitality team. Helen loved walking and founded the Ashley Park Walking Club during her last years in Charleston. She was a meticulous gardener and devoted many hours to the upkeep of her yard. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Graf; a brother, Jerry Glenn with wife Celia; two grandchildren, Kristin Graf and Brian Morton with wife Cori; and eight great-grandchildren, Tyrik, Brian, Alaina, Tiana, Ellie, Callie, Audrey and Sadie. She was predeceased by a son, Larry Morton; a brother, Charles Glenn; and a sister, Margaret Greene. A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be 3 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service – Woodruff Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Selma Baptist Church, P.O. Box 126, Woodruff, SC 29388.
