Obituary of Becky Peters

Rebecca “Becky” Elizabeth Peters, 63, widow of Benny Peters, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2022. Mrs. Peters was born in Greenville County to the late Charles Wade Smith and Elizabeth Irene Whitmire Smith. Becky formally worked at the Fountain Inn Recreation Center and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church. She enjoyed making people laugh, reading, puzzles, and being “Nanny” to her grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, April Gross with husband Kurt and Brandy Lowery with husband Sam; and raised as a daughter, Shawna Stone; two brothers, Everett Smith and Carl Smith; eight grandchildren, Tristen Gross, Nathan Gross, Skyler Collier, Kayla Collier, Bonnie Collier, Aiden Gross, Isaac Stone, and Ashlynn Lowery. A Celebration of Becky’s Life will be 1 o’clock Thursday at Hillside Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Sean Sellars. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
