Obituary of Charles Julian Cochran

Charles Julian Cochran, 83, husband of Frances Nichols Cochran for 62 years, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 6, 2022. Mr. Cochran was born in Cross Anchor to the late William Harvey Cochran and Ida Mabel Golden Cochran. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and the founder of Cochran Masonry. Julian was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad, a woodworker, he restored musical instruments and built two airplanes with his son, Andy. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Andy Cochran and wife Carrie; a daughter, Abby Junge; six grandchildren, Whitney McFall and husband Chad, Lauren Cochran, Luke Cochran, Ben Sanders, Nolan Sanders and Taylor Junge; two great-grandchildren, Blakely McDaniel and Kaiser Holt; three brothers, Bobbie Cochran and wife Carolyn, Jimmy Cochran and David Cochran and wife Barbara and three sisters, Margie Smith, Diane Nichols and husband John and Linda Taylor. He was predeceased by four brothers, Donald Cochran, William Cochran, Jack Cochran and Theron Cochran and two sisters, Betty Lancaster and Dorthy Stapleton. Funeral Services will be 1pm Monday in the chapel at Fletcher Funeral Service-Woodruff. Burial will follow at Hebron United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Pallbearers: Bob White, Allen Nichols, Ernie Simmons, Dan Fullbright, Wayne Thompson and David Polk. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hebron United Methodist Church, 3520 Old Hills Bridge Road, Enoree, SC 29374. The family is at the home 3701 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.
