Joel Parks Poplin was born September 11, 1954 in Mooresville, NC and deceased on April 28, 2022 . He was preceeded in death by his parents Nancy Parks Poplin and Harry L. Poplin Sr.
Joel graduated from Parkland High School in 1974 lettering in Tennis, attended Appalachian State University and pursued a career in business. Once retired, Joel relocated to Simpsonville, SC to be closer to his parents and family. He enjoyed his hobbies of coin, stamp and painting collections.
He is survived by his sister Judy Poplin Hutchens of New Bern, NC, (H) Augusto L. Maningas, two brothers Harry L. Poplin, Jr of Simpsonville, SC (W) Paula Poplin. (Niece) Kristin Poplin and (Nephew) Ryan Poplin. William (Bill) Alexander Poplin of Duncan, SC (W) Dianne Ellenberg Poplin. (Nephew) Adam Odom (W) Amanda Odom, Justin Odom (W) Andrea Odom.
Great nieces and nephews include Grayson, Lyra Jane, Cooper, Miles, Avery, Emery, Alyssa and Abigail, as well as many cousins in Statesville and Troutman, NC and Georgia.
