Obituary of Beverly Jordan Estes

Beverly Jean Jordan Estes, 66, wife of Walter B. Estes, Jr., went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2022. Mrs. Estes was born in Atlanta, GA to the late William Thomas “Bill” Jordan and Nellie Jean Bolden Jordan. She was an alumnus of the University of Georgia and a certified social worker. She finished her career with Visiting Angels. Bev was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. She enjoyed arts & crafts and cross-stitch. She was an avid reader and collector of books. Bev always had a smile on her face – no matter what. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son Wes Estes with wife Nicole; a daughter, Melissa New with husband Doug; a brother, Ricky Jordan with wife Linda; a sister, Dianne Stone with husband Glen; a grandson, Jamie New; an uncle, Alton Jordan; and members of her beloved Griewisch family which raised her. She was predeceased by a sister, Sue Ward. A Celebration of Bev’s Life will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Curtis DuBose. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
