Obituary of Jessica Lynn Simms

Jessica Lynn Simms, 37, was lost to her family too soon, on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Ms. Simms was born in Sumter to Joy Danene Watson and the late William Glenn “Bill” Simms. Jess enjoyed being outside and admiring nature. She loved sunflowers, but was terrified of bees. She loved to cook and keep a journal. Jess adored her children and loved to tickle them every chance she got. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, Alex Malone; two daughters, Kara Diaz and Maddie Pittman; a half-brother, Brian Simms; a maternal grandmother, Pat Watson; and her companion, Jim Briggs. She was predeceased by a brother, Dustin Simms. A Celebration of Jess’ Life will be 5 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Brian Curry.
