Obituary of Kendra Leighanne Garrett

Kendra Leighanne Garrett, 43, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 4th, 2022. Ms. Garrett was born in Greenville and resided in Simpsonville. Kendra was a 97’ graduate of Hillcrest High school and alumni of the University of South Carolina. She was a member of GracePoint Church. Kendra had a passion for politics and enjoyed music, cooking, and sports. She was an avid Gamecocks and Red Sox fan. Kendra loved spending time with her son, Beckett. Surviving, are her mother, Saundra Gambrell Simpson with husband Robert; father, Keener Garrett, Jr with wife Janice; paternal grandmother, Betty Dean Garrett; son, Beckett Gadberry; partner, Shane Redding; bonus daughter, Brittany Williams with husband Tra and their daughter, Audrey Grace Williams; two bonus sons, Chandler and Easton Redding; sister, Erin Garrett; step-sister, Tabitha Mathis; and step niece Taylor Mathis; step-nephew, Joshua Mathis. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Thomas and Judith Gambrell; and paternal grandfather, Keener Garrett, Sr. A Celebration of Kendra’s Life will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
