Obituary of Bobby Bruce Kay

Bobby Bruce Kay, 64, husband of Kimberly Lillie Dorr Kay for 40 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Mr. Kay was born in Greenville to Ellen Virginia Taylor Lemke and the late Victor Wayne Kay, Sr. He was a graduate of Greenville Technical College and retired from Michelin. He was a member of Hillside Baptist Church. Bobby was strong in his faith. He enjoyed working on cars and could fix just about anything. He was an Atlanta Braves fan. Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are a daughter, Brittany Kay; five brothers, Wayne Kay, Jr. with wife Beth, Darrell Kay with wife Rena, Mark Kay with wife Patti, Jaryn Kay and Jayce Kay; and two sisters, Cheri Turner with husband Junior, and Karen Kay. He was predeceased by a brother, Derek Benjamin Kay. A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be 11 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 950 W.
