Obituary of Joe Charles Phillips

Joe Charles Phillips, 73, husband of the late Hazel Lucille Simmons Phillips, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022. Mr. Phillips was born in Crescent, SC to the late Bennie Bernard Phillips and Loree Chumley Phillips. He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Navy. Joe was a member of Bellview Baptist Church. He enjoyed constructing model airplanes and photography. He was a supportive fan of his son Joey’s baseball days. Surviving are a son, Joseph Phillips with wife Morgan; a daughter, Tammy West with husband David; and a grandson, Kyle West. He was predeceased by a sister, Gail Fortner. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be 2 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service – Woodruff. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
