Mary Ellen Fulmer Garrett, 76, formally from Simpsonville, wife of Cary Garrett went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, July 21, 2022. Mrs. Garrett was born in Greenville to the late John “Jack” R. and Jean Cox Fulmer. Mary Ellen graduated from Greenville High School and earned her cosmetologist license from Waldrop’s Beauty School. She first worked as a beautician in Greenville before opening her own salon, Country Coiffeurs, in Simpsonville. She was always active in church especially Women’s Missionary Union at Standing Springs and Fountain Inn First Baptist Churches. Surviving, in addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Stacie Moss (Bobby); three grandsons, Caleb Moss, Tyler Garrett and AJ Bracken; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Gary and Diane Rouser and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an adopted daughter, Nancy Garrett and a brother, Johnny Fulmer. Graveside Services will be 10:30am Monday at Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, 1 Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC 29360.
