Obituary of Bessie Corinne Keeler

Bessie Corinne Keeler, 89, widow of William Carl Keeler, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Mrs. Keeler was born in Greenville to the late Marion Jake Burton and Bessie Lee Ward Burton. She was a faithful Christian and lifetime member of Church of God Laurens Road in Greenville, SC. Bessie retired from Kmart after more than 20 years of service. Bessie was known for her tenacious spirit love for her family and her faith in Christ. Surviving are two sons, James Burnett with wife Bonnie and Dean Burnett with wife Debbie; three daughters, Kathy Burnett, Debbie Burnett and Angela Smith with husband Leon; one brother, Curtis Burton; two sisters, Elnora “Nora” Burton Mirian “Ginger” Burton Thomas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers; and four sisters. A Homegoing Celebration will be 12 noon Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Gardens.
