Obituary of Melissa Gosnell Welch

Melissa Gosnell Welch, widow of Earl C Welch, Sr, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 13, 2022. Mrs. Welch was born in Spartanburg to the late Fred Lee Gosnell and Minnie Wood Gosnell. She attended Cherokee and Spartanburg County schools and graduated from Beaver Creek Bible Institute. Surviving are two sons, Earl C. Welch, Jr (Sharron) and Jack R. Welch (Julia); a daughter, Shelia W. Horton (Sonny); a sister, Pat Gosnell Smith; a niece, Denese Mangel; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30pm Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Graveside Services will be 11am Thursday at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
