Obituary of Matthew Steven Langford

Matthew Steven “Stevo” Langford, 32, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Steven was born in Greenville to Penny Virginia Langford and Eric Hugh Chapman. He was a 2007 graduate of Woodmont High School and a welder by trade. Steven was an avid Gamecock fan. He enjoyed kayaking, gaming and spending time with his friends and family. Steven had a loving, independent disposition and would help anyone in need. Leaving this world too soon, he is survived by, his mother, Penny Key with husband Shane; father, Eric “Rick” Chapman with wife Maria; a brother, Vincent Key; a sister, Virginia Key; two nephews, Tayden and Taysean Curenton; two nieces, KeKe Earle and Gwyn Key; grandparents, Brenda Pennington, Robert and Debbie Key; and special friends, Jeremy Hinkson and Clint and Ambo Galliher. A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be 1 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Robert Cato. The family will receive friends an hour prior.
