Obituary of Mary Pressley

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Eugenia Robins Pressley, 101, daughter of Robert Lafayette Robins and Ada Augusta Cannon Robins, left us on Saturday, August 20, 2022 to join her husband Marvin E. Pressley and her nine siblings for eternity. Mrs. Pressley was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, where she formerly taught the Children’s Sunday School class and Vacation Bible School. She worked at Laurens Glass and the Honea Path Shirt Plant before retiring as a nutritionist at Palmetto Nursing Home. Mary enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working puzzles, reading and watching game shows on television. She loved to travel with family and friends. Surviving are two daughters, Jean Knight with husband Joe, and Joyce LaMontagne; two grandchildren, Jamie K. Horton with husband Chris, and Mark Knight; four great-grandchildren, Meredith Horton, Rebekah Brewton with husband Jay, Cal Horton with wife Alli, and Kaylee Knight; and a great-great-grandson, Benson James Brewton. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be 3 o’clock Monday at Beulah Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Chris Bryan. Burial will be in Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1762 Greenpond Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the entire staff of Open Arms Hospice. Your compassion and care during our mother’s final moments with us will always be cherished.
