Obituary of Hazel Bell Rhodes Thomas

Hazel Bell Rhodes Thomas, 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Ms. Thomas was born in Liberty, SC to the late James Welborn Rhodes and Annie Belle Brooks Rhodes. She retired from Alice Manufacturing. Hazel enjoyed reading her bible, shopping, and trips to the beach. She collected lighthouses, but her greatest joy came in being Grandma to her grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Gary Brown, and Karen and Archie Caulder; two brothers and their wives, Marion and Ginette Rhodes, and Wayne and Debbie Rhodes; eight grandchildren, Angela Limbaugh with husband Matt, April Upton, Jeremy Diaz with wife Suzanne, Jessica Pilgrim with husband Chris, Amanda Seals with husband Chris, Daniel Caulder with wife Kristen, Justin Caulder and Colby Caulder; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Stacy Rhodes. A Celebration of Hazel’s Life will be 1 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Ritt Varriale.
