Obituary of Craig Robert Anderson

Craig Robert “Buzz” Anderson, 74, husband of Martha Hallman Herring Anderson, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife by his side on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Mr. Anderson was born on September 9, 1947, in Reading, Pennsylvania to the late Benjamin Anderson and Mary Anderson Wike. He graduated from Paul Smith’s College in Paul Smiths, New York, in 1967 with a degree in Forestry. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Weyerhaeuser after spending his career working in the wood products industry. Mr. Anderson was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and participating in all types of shooting sports. In addition to his wife, Mr. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Anderson (Chuck Durbin); a step-daughter, Megan Bagwell (Justin); a step-son, Andrew Herring (Kelley Rackley); three grandsons, Aiden, Griffen, and Evan Herring; two sisters, Janice Wertz and Marilyn Milkins; a nephew, Trevor Milkins; and many dear friends with whom he shared a lifetime of good memories. A private celebration of Mr. Anderson’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in remembrance of Mr. Anderson to the Forestry Division of Paul Smith’s College.
