Obituary of Bobbie Jo Garrett Burdette

Please share a memory of Bobbie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bobbie grew up in the Batesville community with her parents, Louise and James Earl Garrett, and her sisters, Geraldine Crawford and Janice Wimsatt. She worked at Woven Electronics in Simpsonville for 27 years. Bobbie was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church on Woodruff Road for 55 years. She served the church in many capacities. Bobbie lived out the golden rule: she loved her neighbors. And treated everyone like they were her neighbor. Whether it was welcoming a new person into her neighborhood with cookies, putting together shoe boxes for operation christmas child, collecting pop tops for various charities, visiting and sending cards to shut-ins, knitting baby blankets and stocking caps for cancer patients. She truly put others ahead of herself and loved people. "Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself."
