Obituary of James Henry Vaughan

James Henry Vaughan, 90, of Fountain Inn, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Born on August 15, 1932, in Fountain Inn, he was the son of the late John Henry and Nettie Thompson Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan was a longtime member of Green Pond United Methodist Church. He retired from Binswanger Glass Company and was a Korean War Veteran. Mr. Vaughan is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jane McCarter Vaughan; daughter, Ann Vaughan; son, Randal Vaughan and wife, Sarah; three grandchildren, Dillon Vaughan and fiancée, Sydne Wetmore, Colton Vaughan, and Brenna Vaughan; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Ann McCarter. He was predeceased by an infant daughter. A Public Viewing will be held from 9am-2pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 o’clock Friday, September 9, 2022 at Green Pond United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Green Pond United Methodist Church, 168 Stoddard Mill Road, Gray Court, SC 29645 or to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 16 Hyland Road, Greenville, SC 29615. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to friends and neighbors for their support and thoughtfulness, and also to Interim Hospice for the wonderful care given to James and all of the family.
