Obituary of Bill Deaton

Billy Lee “Bill” Deaton, Jr., 60, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2022. Mr. Deaton was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Billy Lee Deaton, Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” Mary Basala Deaton. He was an alumnus of Jackson Bible College and the DeVry University. Bill worked many years as the manager of $1.95 Dry Cleaning. He had varied interest, but horticulture was what he was known for. He had a green-thumb and could grow almost any plant. He also loved the beach and spending time relaxing. Surviving are two sons, CPT Cory Deaton, USMC, and Chase Deaton; two daughters, Courtney Gallegos with husband Daniel, and Cara Deaton; and three brothers, Mark Deaton, Randy Deaton and Craig Deaton. The family will receive friends between 4 – 6 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn. A private burial will be held in Ohio.
