Obituary of Robert Greenwell

Robert Paul “Bob” Greenwell, Sr., 84, husband of Sherry Tanner Greenwell for 44 years, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Mr. Greenwell was born in Louisville, OH to the late James Alonzo Greenwell and Eliza Ford Greenwell. He was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church for nearly 40 years. Bob loved golfing, joking around and laughing but his greatest joy was his family. Surviving, in addition to his wife are two sons Bob Greenwell, Jr (Dee) and Dan Greenwell (Kelly) of Ohio; two daughters, Robyn Janes of Ohio and Amy Bryson (Will) of SC; ten grandchildren, Rachel Murray, Nick Hoffman, Brittany Hoffman, Tyler Greenwell (Miranda), Taylor Greenwell, Megan Conley (Luke), Hanna Butera (Dan), Elly Bryson, Cole Bryson and Catherine Bryson; a special lifelong friend, Ed Mathie; ten great-grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jim Greenwell, Jr. and two sisters, Janet Quinn and Norma Smitley. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be 4pm Tuesday at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends in the church parish hall following the service.
