Obituary of Gail Pace

Brenda Gail Pace, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Mrs. Pace was born in Charlotte, NC, to the late William Graham McLean and Thelma Madale McGill. She was a member of First Baptist Simpsonville. Gail had an inviting personality, and she never met a stranger. She loved beach vacations and hosting holiday meals. Gail believed the best things that ever happened to her were her kids, grandkids, great-grandchildren, and being a child of God. Surviving are two sons, David DuBose with wife Nina, and Billy DuBose with wife Linda; three daughters, Donna Segura with husband Alberto, Dawn Turner with husband Bryan, and Jennifer Skardon; a brother, Hollis Helton; five sisters, Mary Ann Hopper, Brenda Mote with husband Terry, Carolyn Younce, Shirley Black with husband Claude, and Janice Mainegra; nine grandchildren, Kailene Dixon with husband Chad, Taylor DuBose, Morgan DuBose, Cameren Vinson, Chase Vinson, Chloe Vinson, Kirstyn Turner, Brooke Turner, and Asheton Skardon; and six great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Madelyn, Annabelle, Bradley, Charlie, and Elliott. She was predeceased by two husbands, Furman Leroy Pace, Jr. and Don Harold DuBose; and two grandchildren, Bradley DuBose and Brandon DuBose. The family will receive friends between 4 – 6 pm Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service. A Celebration of Gail’s Life will be held at 2 o’clock Monday at First Baptist Simpsonville. Burial will be in Graceland West Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 58105.
