Obituary of Gerald Andrew Brown

Gerald Andrew “Pete” Brown, 83, husband of Shirley Elizabeth Waddell Brown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Mr. Brown was born in Enoree to the late Benjamin Franklin “B.F.” Brown and Nellie Virginia Rhodes Brown. He was a lifelong member ofAntioch Baptist Church and a veteran of the South Carolina Army Reserve National Guard (SCARNG). Pete was a jack-of-all-trades who could design or fix just about anything. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, but his greatest enjoyment was fishing. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, John Brown with wife Milisa; a daughter, Penny Williams with husband Lacy “Bubba”; ten grandchildren, Nathan Brown with wife Becca, Jennifer Somai with husband Kevin, Anna Silvers with husband Alec, Ashlyn Ghantt with husband Johnny, Jaden Brown, Ella Brown, Caroline Edmundson with husband Paul, Sara Grace Simmons, Cassie Brown, and Daniel Brown; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Dale Brown; and a brother, Bill Brown. Graveside services will be 1 o’clock Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church social hall immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 13683 Hwy 221, Enoree, SC 29335.
