Obituary of Marc Timothy Leis

Marc Timothy Leis, 53, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Mr. Leis was born in Fairborn, OH to the late Donnie Ray Carpenter, Sr. and Linda Lou McGinnis Carpenter. He worked with NW White & Company. Marc had many interests, such as bonfires, driving through the country, music, and visiting the mountains; however, his greatest passion was fishing. He had a big heart and was sentimental about his family. One of his greatest joys was being Pappy to his grandkids. Surviving are two sons, Tyler Moore with wife Amber, and Zach Moore with wife Taylor; their mother, Tammy Christoffersen; his second mother, Shirley Whitmire; a sister-in-law, Toni Whitt with husband Al; four brothers, Donnie Carpenter, Jr. with wife Denise, Robert Carpenter, Jerrel Carpenter with wife Teresa, and Aaron Carpenter with wife Amanda; two sisters, Lisa Taylor and Tracy Haddakin Carpenter; and five grandchildren, Haybug, Avery, Lawson, Emery and Paisley. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Tracy Taylor. A Celebration of Marc’s Life will begin at 4 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn.
