Obituary of Bill Whaley, III

William “Bill” Hendrix Whaley, III, 53, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 9, 2022. Mr. Whaley was born in Greenwood to William “Bill” Hendrix Whaley, Jr. and the late Brenda Joyce Arnette. He was a six- year veteran of the US Navy, serving as a SEAL. He enjoyed duck hunting and riding four wheelers. Surviving is his father Bill Whaley, Jr. (Marcia); a son, Brandon Whaley; a sister, Debra Smith; paternal grandparents, William H. Whaley, Sr. and Pauline Timms; special cousins, Sonny and Missy Spearman; and many special aunts and uncles. A service at Pridgen Cemetery in Currie, NC will be held at a later date.
