Obituary of Bobby Hackworth

Please share a memory of Bobby to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bobby Hackworth was born in Mobile, Alabama on June 25, 1960. He was the 2nd oldest of nine children born to the late Billy John Hackworth, Sr. and Arlene Jones née Hackworth. Bobby transitioned from earth to eternal life on the morning of Saturday, December 3, 2022. Bobby was also known as Bob, and to his brothers, Beastro. He was born in Alabama and raised in East Harlem. In 1987, he met and married Minta Davidson and from that union was birthed two children, Jermaine Hackworth and Chrystelle White née Hackworth. Bobby met another woman, Valerie Daniels and had a set of twins, Jadzia Daniels and Bryton Daniels. In 2007, Bobby relocated from New York City to Simpsonville, S.C. While there, he met Latonya Byrd and from that relationship had another daughter, Maddison Hackworth. From an early age, Bobby was heavily into physical fitness. He loved boxing and even entered into the Golden Gloves in the 1980’s. He carried his love for physical strength and endurance well into his adult life. He was very passionate about it. God showed Bobby incredible mercies when He spared his life in a horrific job accident in the 1990’s. After prevailing in a lawsuit against the company, Bobby lived a lavish lifestyle. He loved to watch sports and would get on the phone with his brothers and talk excitedly about who he was rooting for and would debate about who was the better opponent. Bobby was loud and comical and had a great sense of humor. He saw comedy in many situations. He also loved watching movies - his favorites were Predator, Let’s Do it Again, and Magnificent Seven. He had jokes, many of them with no filter, and easily laughed at jokes made by others. He was also a strong-willed proud man. He was many things to many people. He was unapologetically himself at all times. Bobby had a love for clothing and was known for his sharp dress and sense of style. He loved a variety of colors and he made sure he matched those colors from head to toe. He also loved to smell good. Appearances was everything to Bobby. He could never be accused of having a bad “outfit” day and he made sure that he looked good at all times. Bobby was never shy about his love for women. He was certainly a Ladies man. Throughout his illness, Bobby displayed unimaginable strength as he battled thru the pain. Talking to him over the phone one wouldn’t think he was suffering at the level that he was because he was strong. It was hard to imagine the extent of his suffering without seeing him. He masked it well and remained aware of everything. His mind was sharp and his conversation was the same all the way to the end. Eventually, the Lord opened Bobby’s ears to receive the Word of God poured out by the love of his mother. May the mercies of Jesus Christ be extended to Bobby. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Arlene Jones; his two sons Jermaine Hackworth and Bryton Daniels; three daughters, Chrystelle White (Dana), Jadzia Daniels, and Maddison Hackworth; four brothers, Iran Hackworth; Maurice Hackworth (Renee); Eric Hackworth (Lisa); and Keith Hackworth; three sisters, Artis Renee Santiago (Ricardo); Latrell Hicks; and Jada Wilson (Wesley Jr.); and a host of loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his older brother, Billy Hackworth, Jr. Bobby will be missed. Lovingly Submitted, His family VIRTUAL OPTION: Zoom Meeting ID: 232 713 3597 Password: 12345 https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming
