Obituary of Mark Brashier

Mark E. Brashier, 60, husband of Sandra “Sandi” Porter Brashier, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2023. Mr. Brashier was born in Greenville to Robert Lee Brashier and Willie Nell Taylor Brashier. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, the Fountain Inn Masonic Lodge #192, and the Hejaz Shrine. Mark owned and operated Brashier Services. He enjoyed restoring his 1950 Chevy truck, and was a drag racing fan. He loved fishing, relaxing at the lake, and annual beach trips with family. Mark’s greatest love was his family and being a “Papa” to his grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are three sons, Nathan Brashier (fiancée Rachelle), Kyle Brashier (Emily), and Zakary Theus (Amber); two daughters, Rachel Cass (Eric) and Becca McDonald (Matt); three brothers, Danny Brashier (Donna), Sammy Brashier (Connie), and Bobby Brashier; a sister, Lisa Jones (David); thirteen grandchildren, Ally Thorp (Charles), Isaiah Brashier, Luke Brashier, Ali Bull, Tess McDonald, Steffi Bull, Emma Cass, Carson McDonald, Harper Brashier, and Easton Theus; a great-granddaughter, Evie Thorp; and his furry, four-legged children, Rex Brashier, Taz Brashier, Maximo Brashier, and Jax Brashier. A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Larry Ledford. The family will receive friends prior to the service between 12 noon – 2 o’clock. Burial will be private at Graceland East Memorial Park.
