Obituary of Kenneth Lamarr Johnson

Kenneth Lamarr “Ken” Johnson, 76, husband of Patricia Hamby “Pat” Johnson for 55 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2023. Mr. Johnson was born in Greenville to the late Jennings Wallace Johnson and Theda Marlee Osteen Johnson. Before retiring, Ken was a devoted employee of Cryovac Inc., Bon Secours Wellness Arena and officially retiring from WW Grainger, Inc. In his younger years Ken stayed active. He bowled with friends in several leagues and played softball with both Cryovac and Grainger softball teams. He was an avid Clemson football fan, and proud member of IPTAY joining in 1976. He was easy going, never meeting a stranger. Ken enjoyed tailgating with friends and family, loved watching sports, and being a “Papa”. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Lance Johnson; a granddaughter, Charlotte Johnson; daughter in-love, Elizabeth Johnson; a brother, Anthony “Tony” Johnson; a sister-in-law, Katie Griffin; and a niece, Lisa Davis with husband Steven. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be 2 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
