Obituary of Karen Hughey McCoy

Karen Hughey McCoy, 71, wife of James D. McCoy for 48 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Mrs. McCoy was born in Greenville to the late Furman Henry Hughey and Mary Smith Hughey. She was an artist and enjoyed painting. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two step-sons, Robert McCoy with wife Deana, and William McCoy with wife Janet; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother and sister. A memorial service will be held 3 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Eddie Howard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Alzheimer’s Association, 301 University Ridge, Greenville SC 29601.
