I remember the day Marvin turned up at our front door to introduce himself. We had been sending our children on the bus in Canberra Australia and he thought it would be the right thing to tell us about the church and what I was teaching that was the start of a long friendship for the Donnells and the Fischers and one we will always remember. R I P Marvin

Had a wonderful time with this precious couple at Harbor Inn in Greensboro., NC. Bro. Donnell’s preaching and Sis. Donnell’s piano playing at Briggs was such a blessing.

Marvin and I started Bessemer High School in different First Grade Classes. He is in center of photo from 1949 Yearbook.

Marvin was a man of God, a man of honor and a devoted family man. I knew Marv through our American Legion Post AU03 in Brisbane Australia. He was our ;Chaplin and did whatever was needed to benefit our Post. I worked with him on a couple of the fundraising activities for the Legion. We would, sometimes, bump into each other doing some walking in the shopping center to get some exercise while avoiding the Australian summer heat. . We talked a lot and I never heard Marvin say an unkind word about anyone. He brought honor to his native country, his adopted country, his family and his air force duty. Sad day for all. Marvin was a great humanbeing always willing to help and participate. He gave his heart and soul to his religion, and all his endevours. He was a great man and will be always remembered. American Legion Post AU03 was privilidged to have him as our Chaplin for over 6 years. He always contributed and volunteered for Services and funerals and was proud to have served in the USAF. He has left an impression on my heart and mind, as someone who deserves to be remembered. Thank You Marvin, may you rest in Peace and God be with you. Larry Sieler American Legion, Past Commander Post AU03, Brisbane Australia.
