Obituary of Kitty Thompson

Catherine Joyce “Kitty” Thompson, 82, widow of James Allen Thompson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2023. Mrs. Thompson was born in Woodruff to the late William Samuel Moore and Helen Sims Moore. She was one of twelve children, including seven brothers, Paul Moore, James Moore, John Moore, Samuel Moore, Joseph Moore, William Moore, and David Moore; and four sisters, Christine Lister, Era Mae McGill, Marie Walden, and Annie Bell Moore. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Kitty enjoyed fishing and flower gardening. She was a collector of lighthouses and water fountains. Surviving are son, Tim Thompson with wife Nadine; a son, Adam Thompson; two grandsons, T.J. Thompson with wife Hannah, and Jared Thompson with wife Ashlee; and four great-grandchildren, Emilee, Parker, Robert, and Jamison. She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Thompson. A Celebration of Kitty’s Life will be 2 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Harmony Church Cemetery.
