Obituary of Darryl Christopher

Darryl Christopher, 55, husband of Suzzy Christopher for 10 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2023. Darryl was born in Greenville to the late Gerant Christopher and Roslyn Hall Christopher. He was an employee of Teachey Service Company and member of Hillside Baptist Church. Darryl enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He was a member of the Striper Kings of Greenville, and was proud to call himself “The Captain of FishBums”. Darryl was a man that lived by his own rules and lived life to the fullest. That being said, his nickname was “Maddman”. Darryl enjoyed gatherings with friends and family, barb-ques and low-country boils. One thing he loved most was being a grandparent, and being called “Pop-Pop”. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Jeff Christopher (Caitlin), Kevin Christopher and Brent Christopher; a brother, Danny Christopher; two sisters, Theresa Smart and Susan Christopher; four grandchildren, Jackson Christopher, Henry Christopher, Haylee Christopher and Amelia Christopher; honorable mentioned, life-long friend, Alan Nelson and his wife Brandy, and their children, Brycen, Brinna Reid and Scarlett Nelson; a mother in-law, Molly (John) Cooley; a father in-law, Harry Tollison. A Celebration of Darryl’s Life will be 5 o’clock Thursday at Hillside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
