Obituary of Jr Johnson

Thomas Lemuel Johnson, Jr., 63, husband of the late Beverly Annette Waddell Johnson, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023. Mr. Johnson was born in Spartanburg County to the late Thomas Lemuel Johnson, Sr. and Evangeline Euna “Vangie” Boiter Johnson. He worked many years at Metromont Corp. Junior was an avid reader and USC Gamecock fan. He enjoyed softball and watching crime shows. His greatest joy was being PaPa to his grandchildren. Surviving are a son, Brandon Johnson with wife Jessica; a daughter, Brandie Hughes with husband Jason; a brother, Allen Johnson with wife Danna; five sisters, Bertie Lowe, Martha Pittillo, Nancy Morgan, Ann Edwards with husband Dan, and Karen Landers with husband Gerald; and four grandchildren, Kenndra Hughes, Kaitlyn Cornelison, Casen Johnson, and Kyle Johnson. He was predeceased by a grandson, Tyler Kuykendoll. A Celebration of Thomas’ Life will be 5 – 7 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Woodruff.
