Kristina Maree “Tina” Cantrell Young, 64, widow of Calvin Rudolph Young, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Mrs. Young was born in Savannah, GA to Judy Maree Joseph Sturgill and the late Robert Lee “Bob” Cantrell, Sr. She attended the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind. Tina’s greatest joy in life was being NaNa to her grandchildren. She was proud to have taught each of them sign-language. She enjoyed word search puzzles and watching Days of Our Lives. Tina was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.

Surviving are her mother, Judy Sturgill; three daughters, Heather Poston with husband Jamie, Amanda Puckett with husband Anthony, and Laura Partridge; two brothers, Bobby Cantrell, Jr. with wife Kim, and Al Purvis with wife Gale,; five sisters, Tammy Phillips with husband Fred, Becky Turner with husband Eddie, Robin Lewis with husband Darryl, Kara Knode with husband David, and Stacey Smith; eight grandchildren, Trevor Poston, Brent Smith, Matthew Poston, Chase Carter, Mackenzie Partridge, Zachary Carter, Bowden Carter and William Partridge; two great-grandchildren, Journey Tallent and Genesis Benson; and her beloved dog “Goldy.”

A Celebration of Tina’s Life will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
