Obituary of Jenny Ginsberg

Please share a memory of Jenny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jenny Doty Ginsberg, 77, devoted wife, loving mother & grandmother went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2023, after battling an unexpected illness. Born in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Darwin D. & Bernice H. Doty. She attended Journey Church in Gainesville, GA and was a retired homemaker. Jenny was a graduate of St. Albans High School and attended Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV. She was a majorette in high school and was awarded the title of Miss Kanawha Majorette in 1962, her senior year. Jenny went on to work for many years in the sales industry. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her infectious laugh and bright smile. She would also want it to be mentioned how deep her Christian faith guided her in life. Her testimony to others helped bring them to Jesus. Well done, good and faithful servant. Your light was shone. Surviving is her husband of 14 years Larry H. Ginsberg of Gainesville, GA, also two daughters: Tracy Sloan (Andy) of Greenville, SC; Lori Peddle (Bruce) of Buford, GA. Three grandsons whom she was so proud of: Zack Evans (Elizabeth) of Knoxville, TN; Maddox & Easton Stewart of Buford, GA. Also, several nieces, nephews, step-children, & step-grandchildren. Jenny was predeceased by her first husband Evan L. Williams; two sisters, Sue D. Fink and Betty Doty. A Celebration of Jenny’s life will begin at 1:30pm at Upstate Church Mauldin on June 3, 2023, officiated by Pastor Ashley Moore. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 12:30pm. Burial will follow after the service at Graceland East Memorial Park in Simpsonville, SC at approximately 2:30pm. All friends are invited to attend. Memorials can be made in her honor to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation online at www.bcrf.org. Jenny was a breast cancer survivor for 40+ years. Lastly, Jenny’s life motto (Philippians 4:13): I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
