Obituary of Kim Kennedy

Kimberly Nancy “Kim” Benenhaley Kennedy, 67, wife of Larry Douglas Kennedy for 44 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Durham, NC to the late Charles Louis Benenhaley and Charlotte Faye Neugent. She was a member of First Baptist Simpsonville. Kim enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, collecting Gone with the Wind memorabilia, and flower gardening. Kim dedicated her life to being Mimi to her grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Justin Kennedy with fiancé Alison; a daughter, Erin Hoffman with husband Jacob; two sisters, Wendy Hall, and Tracy Horrell with husband Addison; and four grandchildren, Cole Hoffman, Kipton Hoffman, Grayson Kennedy, and Haley Hoffman. She was predeceased by a son, Larry Kennedy Jr. and a sister, Penny Way. The family will receive friends between 2 – 4 o’clock Sunday, April 23rd at Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn. A Celebration of Kim’s Life will be started and officiated by Pastor Ashley Moore at 3 o’clock. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
