Obituary of Linda Lathem Ladd

Linda Louise Lathem Ladd, 81, of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, passed away after a brief illness on April 28, 2023 in Greenville, South Carolina. Linda was born in Birmingham, Alabama to John and Louise Lathem on May 23, 1942. As a child, she lived mostly in Alabama and North Carolina. She attended high school in Lincolnton, North Carolina. Following high school, she attended Emory University in Atlanta for two years. In 1961, she married Edwin Osmond Ladd of Winnsboro, South Carolina and lived most of her life in North and South Carolina. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Edwin O. Ladd, and is survived by her siblings, John T. Lathem, Jr. and Sandra A. Lathem, ad her three children, Edwin (Gina) Ladd, Jr., Susan (Arwinder) Nagi and James L. (Kathleen) Ladd. Surviving grandchildren include: Geri Kennett, Edwin O. Ladd, III, Joshua Ladd, Hannah (Colt) Sprouse, Abigail Ladd, Jonathan Sing Nagi, Jasminder (Eric) Bardin, James Louise Ladd, Jr. and Robert Jackson Ladd. Great-grandchildren include: David Morales, Mason Sprouse, Delilah Bardin and soon to arrive Connor Sprouse. Also considered as grandchildren are Ravneet Donegan and Paavan Nagi. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held in Simpsonville, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, between 1-3 pm at Fletcher Funeral Service, 1218 N. Main Street, Fountain Inn, South Carolina 29644. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School, PO Box 326, Chamberlain, SD 57326 and to memorial gift at Operation Smile (www.operationsmile.org). The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the health care team on the 8th floor and the ICU unit at St. Francis Hospital Downtown in Greenville, South Carolina.
