Obituary of Elaine Morgan Owens

Elaine Morgan Owens, 67, widow of Danny Earl Owens, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Mrs. Owens was born in Greenwood to the late Olin D. Morgan and Frances Mae Calvert Morgan. She was a loving mama, granny, sister, aunt and friend. She was an avid gardener who loved spending time out in her yard or helping someone else in theirs. Elaine enjoyed living life to its fullest either riding Harley’s or at the local dirt tracks watching her brother race. Surviving, are a daughter, Dee Dee Dickson (Jerry) of Hickory Tavern; a son, Bruce Hipps (LeeAnn) of Gray Court; two bonus daughters, Deena Owens Gillette and Paula Owens both of Gray Court; a brother, William Morgan (Candy) of Fountain Inn; a grandson, Jeremiah Dickson of Tampa, FL and many bonus grandchildren; two nieces, Ashley Morgan Bolton (Josh) of Woodruff and Brena Morgan of Mauldin; two great nieces, Ava Morgan and Sawyer Bolton who lovingly named her “Annie” and a great nephew, Haiden Hixon. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Don Roger Morgan. Graveside Services will be 1pm Thursday at Cannon Byrd Memorial Park in Fountain Inn. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
