Mr. Derrick was my Principal at Woodruff High School but more important he was friend and neighbor for over 25 years. He was always generous with his garden and banana pudding. Thank you Mr. Derrick for your service to our country and town. I will miss you my dear friend.

Mr. Derrick will always hold a special place in the hearts of the Woodruff High School Class of ‘66. He and Mrs. Derrick attended our class reunions as well as many of our informal class get togethers in the later years. He was a fine principal and a true friend! We will miss him! Beth Rentz Grant

Brooks, I will always recall the wonderful times with him and your grandmother. They were two wonderful people who indeed had a positive impact upon many people. Truly a man and woman from the greatest generation. I am sure that they are reunited in heaven looking for a soccer game.
